Q: Can you hold a place before I apply?
A: When applying for a rental with Right Way Property Management, all applications are taken and run. As we get applications completed they are either Approved, Contingent Approval or Denied. Any approved or contingent approval that agrees to the terms may put down a deposit to hold a property for 14 days. Denied applicants can appeal their application if they find incorrect records by calling the screening number provided. Once a deposit is put down, the property is removed from marketing and no additional applications are run on the property. If an applicant puts down a deposit, but then opts to not move into the property, for any reason other than the home could not be delivered by the landlord than the deposit goes to the cost of lost rent and remarketing the property and will not be returned to the applicant.
Q: Do I pay first month’s rent and last month’s rent with my security deposit?
A: The first month’s rent is paid when you are ready to move into the property along with the security deposit. As per the lease, the security deposit is not to be used as the final month’s rent under any circumstances.
Q: How do I pay rent?
A: Rent can be paid at the office, by credit card online or by e-checks online.
Q: Is the deposit refundable?
A: The security deposit will be refunded after a final walkthrough inspection and any damage repairs assessed. The carpet must be professionally cleaned before the termination of the lease, or $250 will be deducted out of the security deposit.
